It's important that all students arrive at school on time each day. School starts at 8:00 AM, and students need time to get unpacked and settled in their classrooms for instruction to begin right at 8:00. Thank you for your help with this, as we do not want any students to miss out on morning community building activities. The front doors of our school open at 7:15AM to allow students time to eat breakfast in the cafeteria. At 7:30AM students finished with breakfast go to the gym to sit with their classmates. At 7:45AM, the morning music song plays and teachers pick up students in the gym to walk to lockers and classrooms. Our school morning announcements program begins right at 8AM with classroom community building and instruction immediately following. Thank you for your help!
IMPORTANT: Attendance Matters!
Starting as early as preschool and kindergarten, regular attendance is essential for students gaining the academic and social skills they need to thrive. Research shows that when students are chronically absent (missing 10% or more of the school year or 18 days over an entire year), they are less likely to read proficiently by third grade, achieve in middle school and graduate from high school.Â
Stop by the Lost and Found to look for any of your missing items from home.
Our lost and found is overflowing!
When you come to school for GMS, or to eat lunch with your student; please stop by the lost and found and look for missing items.
Slaughter Elementary will be participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
If your child would like to donate $1 on Fridays, they can wear a hat to school.
At the end of the year, we will donate all money raised to the American Cancer Society.
Have your child give their dollar to their teacher. Thanks so much for your support!
We are always excited to welcome parents and volunteers to school!
Please be sure to complete the annual volunteer background check online HERE
You must complete a new form each year. Please note that if you do not complete the proper paperwork, you cannot help chaperone field trips or help in the school.
Thank you!
The School Store Online Fundraiser is up and running! Thank you so much for your participation. This is one of the easiest fundraisers we have ever participated in at Slaughter. All money is earned by online donations and by Wolpfack family and friends shopping online. Earn our school money throughout the school year by simply ordering things you already play to purchase online through our school's fundraiser page. As your child earns reward prizes, they will be shipped to our school.
Thank you for supporting the Wolfpack!
No money is required to get the "thank you" for participating prize.
This fundraiser will last all year long, so you'll have many opportunities to support our school for very minimal effort and expense.
Just because our book fair is over, doesn't mean the magic has to end!
Get your own book fair in a box delivered to your home! Go here to sign up for your Literati Membership this spring and get your first three boxes for $1! Ask your teacher for their referral code to earn money for your classroom. 10% of every dollar spent in you membership also benefits your school!
