Advanced Guitar Studio
Our guitar program has a place for everyone, from true beginners to advanced players. Each class is one semester for easy scheduling! Whether your goal is to play in a classical ensemble or strum tunes around the campfire with your friends, you'll learn everything in you need from chords to melodies to traditional notation and tablature.

Music Technology & Keyboarding (semester)
Learn the basics of electronic composition, including both notation-based and digital audio workstation (DAW) programs. In this class, you also learn piano as a means to enhance your compositional skills!
Creating & Recording Music (semester)
Prerequisites: Music Technology & Keyboarding OR Guitar I OR AP Music Theory
Whether you are a singer, acoustic songwriter, or electronic music guru, in this class you will learn the basics of digital audio workstation (DAW) recording to make your work sound polished and professional. The end product is one (or more!) original songs on a class album.
JJC MUS 102 - Exploration of American Music (semester)
This dual-credit class through Joliet Junior College requires no musical experience as students explore American history through a new lens. What music was enjoyed by the first American colonists? What would you have listened to as a teenager during the Civil War? How was music used as a means of protest during the 1960s? This class is transferable to most colleges and universities as fulfillment of a fine arts gen ed credit.
AP Music Theory (year)
For students seeking a deeper understanding of music, this year-long class prepares you for the AP Music Theory exam and prepares future music majors for college-level coursework.
