Behind the Wheel Lessons

Students are expected to be driving with a licensed driver over the age of 21 outside of school. The state requires 50 hours (10 at night) outside of Driver Education. The 50 hour sheet is attached below. Students will be graded on different lessons listed below when driving with the instructor. The students will need to pass each lesson in order to be successful and pass behind-the-wheel.

The behind the wheel component of this class is graded as pass or fail

• The student will demonstrate the ability to apply the "Rules of the Road" to their driving

• The student will demonstrate proper and safe driving maneuvers

• The student will demonstrate consistent improvement in their driving

• The student will maintain the proper attitude outlined by the instructor
