In their first two years at the College, students are placed in a homeroom environment where they are with their form teacher for much of the week. Integrated Studies & Mathematics will take up half of the teaching week covering all strands from the New Zealand curriculum in English, Social Studies, and Mathematics.

Other core classes (Science, Physical Education, Te Reo Māori, Christian Studies) are taught by specialist teachers and run across the full year.

Students will also experience all of the following learning areas in their module programmes: 

• Art (half year)

• Drama (half year)

• Music (half year)

• Food Technology (half year)

• Workshop Technology (half year)

• Digital Technology (half year)
