Creativity (Auahataka) is a muscle we need to flex.

KAUPAPA: 

• The course has been designed to push our learners' creativity and for them to use the skills they have acquired during the level 1 and 2 course. 

• Our learners start the year with an external report based on a technological outcome. The learners then analyse the outcome using contemporary design criteria to evaluate its potential to be fit for purpose when judged against a set of criteria. This external is worth 4 credits and we push our learners to analyse a product they would look to develop later in the year. 

• During terms 2 and 3 our learners then get busy developing their outcome. This part of the portfolio is worth 12 credits and these are assessed internally.

YEAR 12 PREREQUISITES:    

• None. But it would be very beneficial to have completed the Year 11 course as this offers the fundamentals of how NCEA works, especially within the Technology Curriculum.

YEAR 13 PREREQUISITES:    

• None. But it would be very beneficial to have completed the Year 11 and 12 course as this offers the fundamentals of how NCEA works, especially within the Technology Curriculum.

YEAR 12 COURSE CONTENT:

• Students will complete 12 internal credits. During these standards students will make one outcome. 

• The external report is worth 4 credits.

YEAR 13 COURSE CONTENT:

• Students will complete 12 internal credits. During these standards students will make one outcome. 

• The external report is worth 4 credits.

YEAR 12 & 13 COSTS:

• Individual charges will be allocated depending on what materials and consumables are used.
