KAUPAPA:
Our purpose is to develop our learners into students who understand how to solve problems with enthusiasm and resilience. Students will understand how to develop an idea from an initial thought, into a sketch and then processed into a final outcome.
We introduce sustainability issues in today’s world and look to develop products that understand the importance of using infinite materials.
Students will experiment with materials looking into the cell properties to help evaluate which material has the best performance properties for their designs.
PREREQUISITES:
None. But it would be very beneficial to have completed the Year 10 course as this offers the fundamentals of Furniture Design.
COURSE CONTENT:
Students will complete 12 internal credits. During these standards students will make two outcomes.
Students will complete one 4 credit external. This is a task that will take 5 hours.
COSTS:
Students will be charged $150. This covers materials, varnish, paint, screws, nails. If students wish to spend more they can.
