Students who participate satisfactorily in this course will improve in their ability to:-
Understanding the visual arts in context
Share ideas about how and why their own and others’ works are made and their purpose, value, and context.
Developing practical knowledge
Explore a variety of materials and tools and discover elements and selected principles.
Developing ideas
Investigate visual ideas in response to a variety of motivations, observation, and imagination.
Communicating and interpreting
Share the ideas, feelings, and stories communicated by their own and others’ objects and images.

COURSE CONTENT:
Observational drawing using a range of mediums
Develop painting skills and techniques
Recognise artist models work and genres
Produce small scale sculptures related to previous drawings
Create workbook pages showing a development of ideas
Present a finished body of art works (single A1 folio panel)
COSTS:
Students will be charged $50 which covers an A3 workbook, individual paint set and brushes.
