KAUPAPA:
Year 11 Agricultural and Environmental Science aims to deliver a broad foundation and understanding of New Zealand's Primary Industries and the various vital aspects of that.
This is 'from the ground up'... (soil and plant science, NZ geography, animals and sustainability) to establish a foundation and set the scene for years to come, preparing students to leave a better tomorrow, feed the world and be responsible kaitiakitanga.
"Leave it better than you found it."
Through studying Agricultural and Environmental Science students will be able to communicate and explain scientific and agricultural ideas in depth and be able to evaluate and make decisions based on 'best practice'.
There is a strong literacy focus and developing and supporting the skills to write and communicate their responses and ideas effectively has long been at the core of success in this subject.
