Titan Band

The McDowell High School Titan Band program is under the direction of Mrs. Jenny Lanier. The MHS Titan Band is active in all aspects of the NC Bandmasters Association. The band actively participates in regional marching band competitions and North Carolina Music Performance Adjudication in Concert Band. The band consistently earns Excellent and Superior ratings at these events. Students regularly audition and place into District, State and National Level Honors Ensembles. Since 2015, the Marching Band has been selected to perform in nationally televised parades such as McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago, Illinois, American's Veterans Day Parade in New York City and the Festival of Fantasy Parade in Walt Disney World.
