Course Description: In grade 7, the Ohio education standards for music begin to examine music throughout history. This course takes a look at the details throughout certain musical styles in history. Students will be able to analyze and identify elements of music of different time periods.

Course Description: In grade 8, the Ohio education standards takes music throughout history and begins to reflect on them in society. This course takes the styles of music throughout American history and analyzes them on a larger scale. Students will be able to interpret musical styles impact on society and identify the societal affects on music.
