Course Description: At the high school level, the Ohio education standards identify and trace musical styles throughout historical periods, as well as compare music from different cultures. This course will deep dive into the popular music genres of 1960s, 70s and 80s. The genres will be discussed musically and societally, allowing the students to create a holistic view of music history throughout the years.
