Introduction

My name is Mrs. Teah Robertson. I am the McCrory School District K-12 Gifted and Talented Program Coordinator/Teacher and AP Coordinator. To tell you a little bit about myself, I'd like to start with where I began.

Growing up, I was raised in Augusta, AR. Surrounded by family, we often played games where I was the teacher. My duties were to teach my younger cousins to add and subtract. It's funny, now, to think that all of those brown paper sacks we used, in order for me to teach them during our summer months off, had a part in my love for teaching. When I grew older, I moved to McCrory, AR and began attending college. First, I completed a Certificate degree in Photography. That certificate didn't really fulfill my educational goals. It was mainly only a hobby, so I became a student at ASU-Newport. This is where my "educational" background begins with an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education. From there, I transferred to ASTATE and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education- Early Childhood Education. However, I just couldn't stop! I continued to further my educational outlook in obtaining a Master of Science in Education- Educational Theory and Practice. Now, I'm also certified and endorsed to teach the K-12 Gifted and Talented Program.

Throughout my college education years, I met my husband Nick Robertson. We have three amazing children- Ethan Ashby, Marka Robertson, and Rylan Robertson. My kids, and now my grandson, make my world go around! We are continuously involved in our children's lives, church, and other family events. When we are not attending an event, you might find me with my face in a good read. I'm a bit of a book nerd if you asked my husband. That's why I've included a reading list on my page.

To end, I'll leave you with a quote by Nelson Mandela, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". Because of teachers, students are able to change the world!
