Music Performance Calendar

The Music Performance Calendar will be published on the google site as early as practicable and updated when necessary.

Students and families are responsible for:

• checking the calendar regularly

• noting the performances relevant to the student’s ensembles

• keeping performance dates available

• reading event information and updates

• advising the relevant conductor promptly of any known conflict.

Changes will be communicated through COMPASS and email. While every effort will be made to provide sufficient notice, some performance opportunities may arise during the year.

We generally have two main events each year at the end of each semester, and these concerts give our students real opportunities to perform, grow, be assessed, and represent the College in a meaningful way.

Keep things sustainable for staff and manage Time in Lieu responsibly
Create authentic performance opportunities where students can show real development
Give parents and younger students a clear picture of where the program is heading
Provide leadership opportunities for senior students, while helping them reflect on their journey

Assessment that is authentic and aligned, not forced
Staff workload that is manageable and respected
A Music Program that is visible, valued, and something the community is proud of
