Auditions will take place in WEEK 14 of Term 4 2025 at Marist College in Room V4
TUESDAY 5TH NOV 3.30-5.30
WEDNESDAY 6TH NOV 3.30-5.30
Rehearsals will begin the following week.
Students who will be in Year 9-12 in 2025 are welcome to audition. You do not have to prior performance experience to be involved.
We are seeking actors for main roles, supporting roles and ensemble performers.
We are also very interested in any students who can sing and or/play an instrument on stage (keyboard, guitar, strings)
It is not a musical but there are songs that are important to the play.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
ALL ACTORS TO BRING THEIR AUDITION FORM TO THE AUDITION!
When you arrive you will be given an audition form to complete before your audition. It won't take long to complete.
AUDITIONING FOR MAJOR ROLES & SUPPORTING ROLES
· For the audition students will need to present a prepared monologue from the list provided.
THESE CHARACTERS ARE ALL FROM LONDON (1593) SO ACCENT WORK WILL BE IMPORTANT. WE CAN ALSO TEACH YOU THIS BUT TRY TO AUDITION WITH AN ENGLISH ACCENT (consider if your character is upper, middle or lower class)
· You may be asked to do some script reading from the play and the script and scene will be provided for you during the audition. Sample script section from the play can be found on the AUDITION SCRIPT PAGE
· Preparation is key! Learn your lines, consider how your character might speak, move and walk and show us you have taken care and time in preparing for your audition.
· Students will be asked to complete an improvisation based on set of given circumstances and character traits that will be provided at the audition.
