The MBUSD Invention Convention is connected to the California Invention Convention and Invention Convention Worldwide. During the 2022-2023 competition year, Manhattan Beach Middle School 8th graders Wyatt Newbill and Charlotte Fan won first place in the 8th category at the Raytheon Technologies Invention Convention U.S. Nationals! These remarkable students invented a 100% biodegradable alternative to Styrofoam, effectively addressing the issue of harmful microplastic usage in our environment.
