M4 designed this mosaic to reflect significant motifs of Aotearoa. The Kereru was chosen as it was a bird that felt distinctively New Zealand. Everyone knows a Kereru that sits in garden or perches on telephone wires outside their house.  The Kereru also represents the colours of New Zealand with distinguishing blues, greens and White.
