ART STUDIO

Meet Your Visual Arts Teacher, Mrs. Azzollini

Welcome to Maywood Avenue School's Visual Arts Program. This will be an exciting five years learning about various artists' and art styles.

I graduated from New Jersey City University with a Graphic Design Degree and an Art Education Certification (K-12). I also graudated with an Masters in Art Education from Boston University, The College of Fine Arts.

I enjoy traveling, reading, dancing, painting, exercising (Body Combat is my favorite), designing, and creating prints through wood block printing.

I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Our School has a Maywood Art Page on Instragram. Please follow us at: maywoodart on Instagram

"Every Child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he or she grows up" - PABLO PICASSO

Why is Art Important to All Students?

Art focuses on problem solving skills and understanding that there is no one solution to a problem. There is so much we teach, but there is never one answer. Art teaches team work and self-expression. Finally, Art gives a child a reason to show up and do what he or she enjoys.
