VOTE March 14, 2023
Maywood Public Schools is asking the community to consider a bond proposal that would allow the district to address critical repairs, add and modernize space, and make significant updates to benefit current and future generations. The referendum will take place on Tuesday, March 14.
One vote can make the difference, so your participation truly matters!
Registered voters with a Maywood address can vote in person or by mail.
This sample ballot includes the standard language that voters will see at the polls. The ballot question includes the total project costs of $22,060,140 and the explanation that state aid will cover 40 percent of the "final eligible costs of the projects." For Maywood, that state aid amount is $6,201,431.
Polling locations are Memorial School, 764 Grant Ave., and Maywood Senior Center, 145 W. Magnolia Ave.
If you do not know which is your polling location, check your sample ballot or use New Jersey’s Polling Place Search.
The polls will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 14.
Cast your ballot!
If you show up at the polls but are told you cannot vote there because you aren’t registered, you already received a ballot by mail, or for any other reason, make sure to ask for a provisional ballot. A provisional ballot will be counted once election officials ensure a voter is registered and has not already cast a valid ballot.
If you have previously voted by mail in a New Jersey election, you might have opted to continue automatically receiving mail-in ballots. If so, you should anticipate receiving this ballot for the bond referendum in the mail.
You may still check your Vote-By-Mail status by contacting the Bergen County Clerk Elections Division at 201-336-7020 or electionsclerk@co.bergen.nj.us.
