Core Vocabulary Implementation

Speechy Musings has developed a resource to help SLPs systematically teach and reinforce AAC core vocabulary. It includes 10 units for instruction, data collection, and visuals to aid in implementation. Her blog is linked to the button below explaining this resource. She has also created an AAC Implementation Toolkit available on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Activity Matrix

Data Collection

Lori Tufte has created a checklist and rubric to document a student's proficiency with their device following an intervention session.

Students are rated on how they interact with the AAC System during activity, pay attention to the activity, actively participate, utilizes the AAC system during activity, and self-correct errors.
