DAY 0
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Communicating in foreign languages.
Knowing about the school, getting to know teachers and sudents. Socializing. Comparison with our school
Today we met in Ribera Square, and some parents took the car and they brought us to Pintor Sorolla train station. After a long travel by train we arrived to Madrid to take the plane. We did all the controls and we got on plane. We had a perfect journey, there were beautiful views of the sea. After that, we took a bus to go to Augusta. We are exhausted!
But our Italians mates were waiying for us to show us their school and present the project activities of the week.

DAY 1
Knowing about cultural and natural heritage of Sicilia.
Communicating in foreign languages.
Today was a very complete and fun day. First we met with the other ERASMUS children in a square and we went by bus to a volcano called Etna, and it was full of snow! When we arrived we realized that there was a storm and we couldn’t spend much time there but we enjoyed playing with the snow and watching the volcano. We were surprised about the near distance between the cities and the volcano, it seems to us dangerous
After that we visited Catania.
Today we have learned many things:
When we went to Catania, we learned that is the second biggest city in Sicily and the elephant is her identified animal, because of a story about a wizard that was able to become an elephant. And now we know a new expression in italian: alora, that means actually.
DAY 2
Knowing about the school, getting to know teachers and sudents. Socializing. Comparison with our school .
Improve environmental awareness and appreciating natural heritage. Exchange of pedagogical practices.
Communicating in foreign languages.
Cultural immersion.
Today we visited the school,and the students welcomed us with songs.
Then the science teacher explained some curiosities about salt mines and we went to visit them with the students that participate in the Erasmus project. A tourist guide was waiting for us there, she explained curiosities about the birds in the salt mines.
After that we went back to the school and we did an experiment see in a simulation the movement of the wings of a bird. We learned many names of birds and how they perform the movement to fly. And then we did a quiz to know the names of the birds.
In the afternoon, we went to a center to see tradicionales dances of Augusta, we listened to ancient history and we saw tradicionals instruments. We did this activity to get to know the city of Augusta and learn its history. Finally, we went to see the sunset at the lighthouse.
It was a very exciting day in which we have enjoyed every minute of the day.

DAY 3

Today we went to school at 8h. We started the morning doing keychain with recycled sheets. It was very funny because the keychains were like monsters. Then we went to P.E. class, we warmed up and then we ran. After that, we went to an auction for the Sant Giuseppe festivity, also we went to our correspondent class and we ate pizza. Then we did a poster of sustainable and not sustainable things together with some Italian students who aren't taking part in the Erasmus exchange. The last hour we went to our correspondent class to see how they do their classes and we talked about what we are doing here. I think the activities with the students that aren't in the Erasmus exchange have been fantastic.

DAY 4
Knowing about culture and life of Augusta. Communicating in foreign languages
Today we went to visit the city of Augusta. We also visited some important churches in the city. After all that, they took us to Augusta City Hall. They told us many interesting things such as the war between Spain and Italy, the reconstruction of the church and the town of Augusta. Then we played a game, they asked everything they had explained previously, I tried typical sweets from Augusta such as: cannoli, a type of fritters, etc. After all this walking we returned to the house of our correspondents and in the evening, we went to have lunch where we were dancing and eating food that some families had prepared.

FINAL DAY
Today is a very sad day, it is the last day.
First we woke up and got ready to leave. At 6:30 we all met at the bus stop, said goodbye and cried a lot. Then the bus arrived and took us to Catania airport.
Before boarding the plane we had lunch and at 9:00 we flew out. We arrived in Madrid at 12:00 and walked around the streets until 18:00 when we boarded the AVE high speed train.
Finally we arrived in Valencia where we were welcomed by the families.
What we liked most about the trip to Italy was: the food, the people, the landscapes, the experiences and anecdotes we have to tell, all the memories, all the new friends....
During this experience we have learnt a lot of things about Italy and we are very happy with the experience.
