MOBILITY TO LOUSADA (PORTUGAL)

Learning outcome: 

Knowing about the school, getting to know teachers and sudents. Socializing. Comparison with our school. Knowing the Portuguese educational system. Communicating in foreign languages. 

DAY 1 Monday 29th April

Today we have started our mobility in Lousada, but yesterday some Portuguese families, teachers and students offered a wellcome dinner at the sports residence, where we are staying. There was a lot of food and it was nice to see again some of the portuguese students that visited us in Algemesí! 

In the morning we have been received with Portuguese drums at school. We have visited the school and have played some games with portuguese students. The school is bigger than ours and there are many classes, a canteen, sport pithes and a bar!

In the afternoon we visited the museum of Rota do Romanico and the town: Lousada. 

DAY 2 Tuesday 30th April

Improve environmental awareness and appreciating natural heritage. Exchange of pedagogical practices.Communicating in foreign languages. Waste treatment and implications of not recycling. Participating in a workshop with foreign students. Critical thinking 

On Tuesday we went to the Lousada nature house, there they explained us some things about how humans influence on animals and environment in Casa das Videiras (Casa das Videiras | CM Lousada (cm-lousada.pt) ). We also created solutions for environmental problems with lego. Our creations were very good and also those of our Italian mates. Later we went to the school, we learned to paint a portuguese tile with the help of the Art teacher and they showed a drama play about an important day in their history, Revolução dos cravos. In the evening we went to a pizzeria to have dinner.

We were surprised about how much contaminated it can be the ecosystem and a lot of information about different types of animals. We liked that today was a good day and we were doing activities most of the time: we did some sport, we played some board games, we learned things, and actually, today the food was quite good.😌👍

But the only bad thing was that today it rained a lot so we couldn’t do some things. 😢

And we just missed going to the activity we were going to do, because the rain didn’t let us do it.

DAY 3 1st May 

Appreciating Portuguese heritage .

Today it is a bakn holiday and we didn't go to school. We visited Porto with our Italian mates and some Portuguese students and teachers. We sailed in the river and went shopping. Porto is a lively and crowded city.
