DAY 2

OBJECTIVE: Improve environmental education and competence and discovering European cities

On Tuesday 20th we visited Valencia, one of the Green European Capitals in 2024, we walked along the pedestrian squares, discovered the gardens of the River Turia and visited some Valencian landmarks like the town hall and the Serrano Towers.

DAY 3

OBJECTIVE: Improve environmental education and competence and discovering European cities. Improve the communicative competence in foreign languages.

Wednesday 21st was a busy day at school. We worked together in international teams to learn about sustainable trekking. We designed posters about a trekking route we were going to do on Thursday. We also visited the townhall, where the major received us and we played a game to know the town of Algemesí.

DAY 4

OBJECTIVE: Improve environmental education and Improve the communicative competence in foreign languages

On Thursday 22nd we presented our research about the trekking route to the other students of the school and after that we went to La Casella natural park. We did an 8 km route, we climbed the mountain and reached the Cova de la Galera. We had a wonderful and intense day, hard but worth seeing the views and sharing the experience with our international partners.

DAY 5

OBJECTIVE: Improve environmental education and competence and Improve the communicative competence in foreign languages

Finally on Friday 23rd we worked together again, the question was: How could we have a greener and more sustainable school? Students suggested to plant more trees and plants, install solar pannels, a composter, use more sun light or encouraging students to come to school on foot or by bike. They presented this in pictures that were displayed at school. On our final day internationa students made videos to show what they have done during the week, what they liked and what they did not like of this busy week.

In the afternoon, we had to say goodbye, now we were so well together! We had a small farewell party organised by families. It was also the moment to give certificates of atendance and saying thank you for this tiring but enrichin week. But it will be a short goodbye, because we are meeting soon in Italy, and in April we will meet again in Portugal.
