Register for 2020-2021 School Year

Welcome to the 2020-21 School Year! Registration for both students new to the School District of Mauston and returning students begins here.

Mauston plans to open schools to all students for in-person, everyday instruction beginning September 1st.

Mauston is using guidance from the Wisconsin Department of Instruction, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Juneau Co. Health Department to prepare for our school openings. Families will see options below for registration purposes. Details about learning for each of these options can be found in Mauston Reopening Plans 2020.

Mauston's Traditional Schools - In Person Learning 4K - 12

The School District of Mauston is ready to welcome students and staff back to school safely. All school buildings will open following a safety plan that reflects guidance from our school nurses, the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatricians, as well as the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and Juneau County Public Health.

Mauston High School is a comprehensive 9-12 high school offering a wide selection of courses. Students will find courses aligned to many career pathways, dual credit options, comprehensive CTE offerings, arts and advanced placement courses.

Olson Middle School for grades 6-8 offers students a comprehensive middle school experience. Students experience the core along with extensive exploratory courses that offer young students an experience to explore career opportunities and elective possibilities for their future learning. Olson Middle School is a WEB school, Where Everyone Belongs.

Grayside Elementary School houses students in grades 3-5. Students at this intermediate level experience a comprehensive curriculum. It is our goal to ensure that every student receives the best education possible. Your child’s educational journey at Grayside will be amazing and will provide them with academic experiences that are rigorous, relevant, and help them to build relationships while making real-world connections.

West Side Elementary School is home to students in grades EC - 2. Our pre-kindergarten through second grade campus provides a dynamic student centered learning environment that focuses on the development of the whole child. It is our goal to provide rigorous and engaging academic opportunities that are aligned with real world experiences. Students will build the needed confidence to achieve academic excellence and social-emotional learning through a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.

Lyndon Station Elementary School is a small school located in Lyndon Station. Students in grades 4K - 4 attend this comprehensive elementary school set in this rural community. Students in multi-age classrooms enjoy the support of the community and the opportunity to learn together across the grades.

Applications for Mauston's Virtual Program will be taken based on space availability.

Mauston's Virtual Schools, Full-Time Virtual/Remote Option

The School District of Mauston is pleased to offer families a full-time virtual or online option. This option is for families who wish to participate in a remote or virtual learning experience for one or more of their children during the 2020-21 school year. Teachers from the School District of Mauston will connect with students by partnering with JEDI Virtual School and the Wisconsin Virtual School Network to provide both synchronous (live) or asynchronous (independent/taped video) learning activities. Student who enroll in the virtual option will be asked to stay with the virtual option for the entire term, either quarter or semester, based on the work of the class.

You can register for the waiting list by clicking the yellow button to the right. Due to staffing and online schooling preparations, the priority deadline to register for the Virtual Option was Tuesday August 18, 2020.

Mauston's Charter Schools - In Person Learning

iLEAD Charter School is a project based charter school housed within Mauston High School. This school, for students in grades 7-12, offers learning designed around projects of student interest.

Mauston Montessori School offers families the Montessori method of learning in the Children's House (4K&K), Elementary One Classroom (1st & 2nd) and the Elementary Two classroom (3rd and 4th).
