These are the words that greet Maumee High School students each day when they enter the doors in the morning and leave in the afternoon. These words serve as a reminder that school more than just academics and activities; it is also about character development and service to the community that provides us with so much.
Maumee Interact is a service organization of students in grades 9-12 that follows the example and principles of our sponsor, the Maumee Rotary Organization. We provide volunteer services for our school, local, and national communities. Our organization is open to any Maumee High School student who wants to make a difference in the lives of others. Community service is something that any student can get involved in. The only thing needed is time, effort, and a desire to give of one’s self.
For our larger national and international projects, Maumee Interact pairs with Youth Leadership Toledo to provide leadership and support. Our organization in combination with other MHS organizations such as DECA, student council, and National Honors Society have donated tens of thousands of service hours and dollars to a large number of charities and organizations.
