On this page you will find links to our software. This includes R package, either on CRAN, GitHub, or both, and also to web applications most of which have been developed using the R Shiny package.
MetaHD (link to package; paper)
MetaHD is an R package for the meta-analysis of high-dimensional metabolmics data. The estimators account for correlation between outcomes and can handle missing outcome summaries. Missing outcomes is common since independent studies usually do not report on the same metabolites.
metaquant (link to package; paper)
It is not uncommon for researchers to report quantiles instead of means and standard deviations when data is skewed (in fact, it should be prefered). When this is the case, the metaquant package can be used to estimate unknowns means, visualise estimated population densities and for the the meta-analysis of quantiles.
rquest (link to package; paper)
Functions to conduct hypothesis tests and derive confidence intervals for quantiles, linear combinations of quantiles, ratios of dependent linear combinations and differences and ratios of all of the above for comparisons between independent samples. Additionally, quantile-based measures of inequality are also included.
GLDlambdas (link to application; paper)
This web application can be used to find the parameters of the Generalised Lambda Distribribution that best approximate many well known distributions (e.g., normal, lognormal, exponential etc.).
Meta-analysis of ratios of sample variances (link to application; paper)
This application will conduct a meta-analysis of ratios of sample variances. The R package metafor is used for the analysis and is based on the log of the ratio of variances
Choose your own weights (link to application)
We use this application in the teaching of meta-analysis in our data science programs. The app can be used for students to gain an appreciations of the importance of study weights. By choosing different weights, students can see the resulting changings in the pooled estimates.
