*YSU's MVP (Mahoning Valley Power's scholarship)….this is only for students who are facing significant student loan debt if they were to enroll in college.  Application Due February 27, 2026. Click Here

*Founces M. Luley Scholarship Program. Trumbull County students who wish to pursue a college education with a music major and who are ranked in the upper 1/3 of their high school graduating class are eligible to apply. The deadline for student application is Friday, March 21, 2025. Application is available here 

*Free Mason Scholarship: *Three $1500 scholarships available to graduating seniors in each Masonic district. Recipients need no relation to a Freemason. Application available here Due March 1 

*AAUW Trumbull County Scholarship 2025-2026 is available to assist a Trumbull County Female Student pursuing a college/university degree in the STEM or STEAM fields. Please visit their website for full application. Deadline 2/28/26

*WKBN Caring for Our Community is a $1,500 scholarship for creating a Public Service Announcement due March 6, 2026. For details and application please go to:  WKBN Caring for Our Community 

*OAPSE Ohio Association of Public School Employees  must be post marked by March 1, 2026. This scholarship is for students whose parent or legal guardian is a member of this union. Click Here

 *Erwin J. Kline Memorial Scholarship Sponsored by the Warren Kiwanis Club. The Warren Kiwanis Club will be awarding a number of $500- $1,000.00 scholarships to academic or technical schools to members of the Key Club attending Warren G. Harding, Mathews, Niles, and Lordstown High Schools.  Application deadline is March 15, 2026.  Click Here 

*Gardeners of Greater Youngstown Scholarship - · Applicant must be currently a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in a credited community college or university, continuing their education in a horticulture program with either Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Architecture/Design, Environmental Science, Biology, Forestry or Entomology as a major at a post-secondary two-or four-year institution. *Horatio Alger National Scholarship is one of the major scholarship programs nationally that specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. Deadline February 15, 2026. Click Here 

*Grand Lodge of Ohio Charitable Foundation Scholarships- distributed to young men and women throughout Ohio’s twenty-five masonic districts. The recipient must be a graduating high school senior. Applicants do not need to be related to an Ohio Freemason to be considered. Click Here

**Mark Vincent Pelini Foundation Scholarship -A scholarship will be awarded by the Mark Vincent Pelini Foundation to one or more graduating seniors from a high school in Ohio’s Mahoning Valley to assist financially with postsecondary education. Scholarships will be paid directly to the institution where the recipient is pursuing further education and/or training. Please submit your complete application package on or before April 13, 2026. *Berkshire Hathaway Stouffer Realty Scholarship-Closes March 2, 2026  This scholarship is for $1,000 (renewable for 4 years) Click Here

*Crystal Lake Foundation Scholarship- Created by the Mahoning Sportsman's Association to provide scholarship opportunities to local youth to pursue post secondary education. Deadline is 3/1/26 Click Here

*Ohio Gas Association Scholarship Foundation -  Must have a career goal in the natural gas or related energy field and be an Ohio resident, or planning to attend an accredited Ohio college, university, technical, or trade school.   Application is available here. *Ohio Natural Energy Foundation Scholarship is available on their website or on google drive. Must have a career goal in the natural gas and oil industry..  Applications are accepted January 1, 2026 through March 1, 2026. click here 

*Trumbull County Farm Bureau Scholarship is available on their website. Applications are due 3/15/26 . click here 

*Trumbull County Farm Bureau/John Wallace and James Wallace Dougals. Applications are due 3/15/26. Click here

*Ohio Knights Templar Educational Foundation. Application available here and is due 3/31/26. (Available in December 2025)

*Richard T. Naples Sr. Educational Foundation Scholarship. The scholarship awards $1,000 to thirty (30) students. Deadline to apply is 3/31/26.  Application available Click Here 

*Scottish Rite, Leon M. Abbot Scholarship Fund. * Masonic affiliation required.  All applications should be submitted to the local Valley of the sponsoring Scottish Rite Mason. For application deadlines, please reach out to the Secretary of said Valley.  Application available here

*Choose Ohio First-Each state university in Ohio has scholarships for students pursuing degrees in STEM classes.  Each university has their own deadlines, applications and majors.  Please do a choose Ohio first search on the university web page for more information.Click Here

*GFWC Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs Scholarships- This must be in the committee's hands by 2/21/26. This application has multiple scholarships, read through the packet to see what you qualify for. The GPA is different for each one.  If you need it mailed for you, it must be to guidance office by 2/12/26. (Posted to google classroom on 12/16)

*GFWC Ohio/Warren Teen Volunteer Award - Offered by the GFWC Ohio Warren Junior Women's League.  All senior volunteers welcome to apply.  Application deadline February 13, 2026.  (Posted to google classroom 12/16)

*Foundation for Appalachian Ohio Scholarships -OPENS 1/5.  Visit this link to apply to 30 scholarship opportunities under the Appalchian Ohio umbrella with just one application. 

*Community Foundation Scholarships- Opens 1/1. This portal offers $1,000,000.00 in scholarship opportunities to students in the valley. Do not submit anything before 1/1/26 or it will be removed. All applications must be finished by 3/1/26 unless otherwise noted. Click Here Available Jan 1 

*Edward J. DeBartolo Memorial Scholarship Foundation is now available on the Community Foundation Scholarship website.  Last year's awards were $10,000 each to 17 area students. 4/26. Click Here

*7/17 Credit Union Scholarship - Due March 31, 2026. This credit union offers 18 different scholarships Either the student or one of their parents/guardians must be a 7 17 member to apply. .  Click Here

*2025 National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Scholar / Essay Application - This scholarship is for senior athletes that have participated in 2 sports for at least 2 years.  See application for complete list of criteria to qualify.         Click Here 

Ohio Masonic Communities Scholarship Program. *Masonic affiliation at least suggested. Application available here.  Applications must be received no later than 3:00 pm on Monday, April 4, 2025.

*Ohio Township Scholarship- Due Jan. 31, High school seniors  planning to attend a university, training program, or vocational school in Ohio.  Click Here

*The Mahoning Valley Basketball Officials Association  due Jan. 26 The $250 scholarships will be awarded to the student athlete upon successful completion of the first semester/quarter of their college program and meet the criteria of a college GPA of 2.0 or higher.   Click Here

*Stand for the Silent Scholarships - Must be a graduating senior to be eligible to apply.  SFTS awards eight $5000 Scholarship each year. We have two scholarship sessions per year in which we award two Ty Smalley Memorial Scholarships and two Laura Smalley Memorial Scholarships. One session runs each spring from March 1 through March 31(or until we reach our maximum entries of 50), and the second session runs each fall from October 1 through October 31 (or until we reach our maximum entries of 50.)
