Probability Theory and Stochastic Models (in particular generalized convolutions and heavy tailed distributions to model rare events, i.e. such that cause large losses)
Renewal theory (to model the working time of machines e.g. renewable energy sources)
Extreme Value Theory (to model extremal events e.g. maximal daily concentration of air pollutans, flood, drought)
Dependence modeling and copulas (new models to describe non-linear dependence structures with copulas e.g. between air pollutions and supply models for pharmacies or hospitals)

Phytoremediation of oily soils: Greenhouses for treatment of oil-contaminated soils with the collection and purification unit of air and leachate water
