Welcome to the new Elementary Makerspace and Advanced Technology Labs! In the new Mac Lab we now have 20 seats of LightBurn software for laser engraving/cutting on the new laser! Seventh grade will be the first class to use it to engrave and cut out custom designed jigsaw puzzles. In the Computer Lab Fifth grade will be making 3D printed rubbing plates to share with their mass buddies, and Fourth grade will be discovering Landforms in Google Earth. The very first students to use the new Advanced Technology Lab will be third grade studying balanced and unbalanced forces, and motion! In the new Elementary Makerspace, second grade students will be using the wind tunnel to determine if air is matter, and first grade and Kindergarten will be learning how to decompose motion into basic commands for navigation using the Beebots. What a way to kick off a great year in all our new Makerspaces!!!
