Welcome to Bulldog Robotics, the Mater Christi Middle School robotics club!
Bulldog Robotics explores the fundamental concepts of physical computing and robotics, which includes designing, building, programming and integrating interactive electromechanical systems. Members engage in a variety of club-directed projects, including participation in the FIRST Tech Challenge Regional Championship in February. For the FTC competition, students develop a custom built robot that meets rigorous design specifications, and can successfully complete challenging missions to score points. Students use mechanical fabrication tools, including 3D printers and professional engineering design software to effect their innovations. They also use electrical fabrication and inspection tools, including a full electronics bench, digital inspection microscope, soldering stations and hand tools. Students program the competition robot in OnBot Java using a google blockly interface for easier coding. Bulldog Robotics Club members meet on Tuesday after school from 3-4:30 and on the five Saturdays leading up to the FTC Regional Championship in February.
