Homeroom Information & Procedures
Welcome to Homeroom! Homeroom is an important part of the school day. It is a time to get organized, prepare for classes, and end the day in an orderly manner. Please review the procedures and expectations below.
Morning Homeroom Procedures
Sign in on the attendance sheet as soon as you enter the classroom.
Check the board to see what materials you will need for all five class periods.
Only collect the materials you need for Blocks 1–3. You will return to your locker before lunch to pick up your materials for Blocks 4 and 5.
Use your agenda book to write down what you will need for Blocks 4 and 5 so you remember which materials to pick up before lunch.
Go to your locker to put away your backpack and collect everything you need for Blocks 1–3.
Return to the classroom and sit in your assigned homeroom seat. Homeroom seats are assigned in alphabetical order and will remain your assigned seat for the entire school year.
During Morning Homeroom
Classroom Macs are not available for use during homeroom.
You may use your cell phone until your first-block teacher dismisses the class.
Before leaving for first block, you must place your phone in your assigned phone pocket.
Phones may not be stored in lockers. This is a school-wide policy and will be strictly enforced.
If you have your phone or wireless headphones with you after leaving homeroom, they will be confiscated and returned at the end of the school day. Repeated violations may result in disciplinary action.
Once you return from your locker, remain in your assigned seat. You may quietly use your phone, work on your Chromebook, or talk with classmates nearby while waiting to be dismissed to first block.
Lunch Transition Procedures
After 3rd block, students will be dismissed to their lockers before lunch.
Go directly to your locker.
Collect everything you will need for Blocks 4 and 5.
Use the notes in your agenda book to help you remember which materials to bring.
Place your books and materials outside your 4th block classroom.
Proceed directly to the cafeteria for lunch.
Expectations
Move quickly and responsibly during the transition.
Have all materials for the remainder of the day before going to lunch.
Do not return to your locker after lunch unless you have permission from a teacher or administrator.
Follow all hallway expectations while transitioning.
Locker Procedures
To help keep the school day organized and minimize disruptions, students are only permitted to visit their lockers three times each day:
Morning Homeroom – Put away backpacks and collect materials for Blocks 1–3.
Before Lunch (after 3rd Block) – Exchange materials and collect everything needed for Blocks 4 and 5.
Dismissal Homeroom – Return books and materials to your locker before leaving for the day.
Please plan ahead and make sure you have everything you need during each locker visit. Students should not expect to return to their lockers at other times during the school day unless they have permission from a teacher or administrator.
Afternoon (Dismissal) Homeroom Procedures
Return directly to homeroom at the end of the school day.
Bus students will be dismissed to their lockers first.
Once the hallway is clear, parent pick-up students will be dismissed to their lockers.
After visiting your locker, return promptly to your assigned homeroom seat.
During Dismissal Homeroom
Remain seated in your assigned seat.
You may use your phone, work on your Chromebook, or quietly talk with classmates nearby while waiting.
Stay seated until your bus is called or your name is announced for parent pick-up.
Follow all directions from your homeroom teacher to ensure a safe and orderly dismissal.

Students are expected to:
Arrive on time and be prepared for the school day.
Follow directions the first time they are given.
