About Ms. Vella: 

I’m Ms. Vella, and I’m beyond excited to begin my fifth year at MaST III. This will be my first year as the high school resource room teacher, but my third year with our High School Program! My journey in education started at home—I grew up advocating for and supporting my sibling, who has special needs. That experience ignited my passion for teaching and showed me the power of patience, creativity, and compassion in unlocking every student’s potential. 

In my classroom, I’m not just a teacher—I’m an advocate, a guide, and a champion for my students. My goal is to create a space where learning feels empowering, inclusive, and even fun. I believe in nurturing independence, confidence, and growth, because every student deserves the chance to shine in their own way. Whether we’re breaking down a challenging concept, setting personal goals, or celebrating small victories, I’m here to make sure no one is left on the sidelines. 

When I’m not in the resource room, you’ll find me reading young adult novels, coloring, working out at the gym, or grabbing some great food and coffee. I’m also a huge believer in lifelong learning, and I’m always looking for new strategies to better support my students.

I can’t wait to meet you and work together to make this year your best one yet! Let’s grow, learn, and celebrate every step of the way.
