Art Therapy Group

Information and Registration

Many with ME/CFS experience healing when they find meaningful activities and new hobbies to pursue.

Join us for a series of art therapy classes featuring various creative exercises led by expressive art therapist, Kerry Lang, LMHC. There will be a mix of fun, creativity, connection, vulnerability, and exploration.

Each meeting will feature various creative activities that participants can become truly immersed in. Because the same participants will be meeting each week, a sense of connection and community will be experienced.

The group will meet on Zoom every other Thursday from 2:30 - 4:00 P.M. for a total of 5 sessions.

The first session is Thursday, March 24th at 2:30 P.M.

*Registration is open for MassME members. Professional licensing requirements constrain us to offering this program to MA residents only. Class size is limited to 12 participants.

There is a $20 suggested donation to cover materials.

No experience with the arts is necessary - we welcome all levels of creative experience!

Facilitator: Kerry Lang, LMHC

Kerry is a MA Licensed Mental Health Counselor with years of experience leading groups and workshops for those with chronic illness, specifically those with Lyme disease, and more recently Long Covid and ME/CFS.

Kerry’s own personal experience with a debilitating chronic illness caused her to leave her first career as an elementary school teacher in her young 20’s.

Increasingly frustrated with how difficult it was for others to understand her symptoms and lived experience, she turned to the creative arts.

She graduated with her Master’s degree in counseling and expressive art therapy in 2015.

Kerry believes that having purpose and meaning is a major factor in healing from illness, and hopes to inspire others to find their passion and purpose.
