Frequently Asked Questions:

What are the dates of the sessions?

This is a 5 session series held virtually on Zoom. All sessions will be held on Thursdays from 2:30 - 4:00 P.M. on the following dates:

March 24th, April 7, April 21, May 5, May 19

Who is eligible to attend this program?

This group is open to current MassME members who reside in MA. We are asking that they are not part of the current Life Skills Program as we would like to give the opportunity for all of our membership to benefit from our offerings.

What level of functionality do I need to have to participate?

We understand that each person experiences ME and chronic illness differently. This group will be using a variety of art supplies, so the ability to use your hands, sit at a table/surface, follow directions and maintain communication and focus for the full 90 minute session is ideal.

What will happen if I am too sick to attend a session?

While we do ask participants to make every effort to attend all the sessions, we understand that you may not feel well on occasion. If you are able, we ask that you notify the group leader before the scheduled session.

Is the program open to men as well as women?

Yes, both men and women are welcome to attend the group.

Is there an age limitation?

We are accepting individuals over the age of 18 for this group.

Do I have to have ME/CFS to participate?

This group is intended for patients who have ME/CFS or fibromyalgia.

How do I get supplies?

For the first session, you will be instructed to use common household items that you have on hand. For the rest of the sessions, supplies will be mailed to you for individual use.

Is there a maximum number of attendees?

Yes, we need to limit the number of attendees to 12 in order to support the therapeutic goals of the group.
