Deadline to Submit Call for Workshop Proposals is January 5, 2026
Massachusetts Council for the Social Studies (MCSS or Mass Council) is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit educational organization. It is a network of social studies educators who work at every level of schooling. They communicate with each other through publications and meetings. They broaden their communication by working with related professional associations, government, and private agencies.
MCSS is affiliated with the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) and participates fully in that organization’s efforts to advance the profession
Deadline is January 5, 2026
You must submit your workshop proposal application online. You should be prepared to submit the following information:
Your first and last name
Your primary contact information including email address, mailing address, and telephone number.
Title of your workshop
Names of other presenters (if any)
Preferred length of workshop (either 20-minute poster session, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 3 hours/half day, or 5 hours/full day)
Central objective of your workshop
Brief abstract of your workshop (this will be printed on the NERC program)
Targeted audience
Strand alignment (see strands above)
Curriculum framework alignment (optional, but highly recommended)
Presenters must register for the spring statewide conference.
