General Information and Procedures
Email communication is the primary mode of communication at MassArt and it is how Academic Affairs communicates with faculty. All faculty, staff, and students have MassArt email accounts. All faculty are urged to check their MassArt email regularly to ensure that information is received in a timely fashion. All students and faculty need to have a MassArt email and use that to communicate through the email system.
This academic year, MassArt has implemented MassArt Connect, which will serve as our internal community hub for engagement and accessing resources, updates, and news.

See Expenditure Guidelines here.
Please note that purchases must be made in accordance with the college's guidelines, and no faculty member may make any expenditure commitment without first consulting their department chair and receiving their approval.
Reimbursement requests cannot be honored without the signature of the appropriate department chair.
All technology purchases need to be made through both the department chair and the technology department. All computers purchased using college funds are the property of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and as such are subject to any rules and regulations regarding government assets.

Effective Summer 2022, MassArt no longer has access to WIT's Parker St Lot due to construction of a new garage on that location.
Because of this change, starting August 31, 2022, MassArt employees who are registered to park will have access to parking at Roxbury Community College (Lot #3) at no charge. Shuttles will run between Roxbury Community College and MassArt on a scheduled basis. Hours will be posted each semester based on volume and need. In addition, registered employees will also be able to park at MassArt's Ward St Parking Lot (143 Ward St).
The parking office emails out details on parking registration, fees, and lot assignments at the begining of the fall and spring semesters.

The Office of College and Visiting Events (DMC-111) oversees space scheduling and logistics for on-campus meetings and events. The office works with event stakeholders to evaluate their event needs, reserve space, and coordinate with vendors and other support services, while ensuring compliance with college policies and guidelines.
Internal space requests are accepted via the MARRS system; Faculty wishing to reserve a meeting space on campus are asked to contact their Department Assistant for assistance.
Meeting and event requests from external partners should be directed to College and Visiting Events at 617-879-7932 or by emailing marrs@massart.edu.
