Quarterly grades will be weighted and calculated as follows:
Test and Quizzes -- 70%
Homework and in-class assignments -- 30%
Guided notes will be provided and students will be required to take notes in an organized manner.
Homework will be assigned daily and due the next day.
Students will be given 3 late grade homework assignments per quarter. After the third late assignment, the student will be given a zero for any assignment not turned in on time.
All work must be shown to receive credit on homework.
Students are responsible for obtaining their makeup work.
If a student is absent for a school related activity (sport activity, field trip, competition, etc.) they are required to get their assigned work in advance and turn in the homework that is due the day of the activity before leaving.
If a student has an excused absence, then homework may be one day late for each day of absence per school policy.
Test and Quizzes
A unit test will be given at the completion of each unit.
Students are allowed to re-test on one unit test per quarter. The re-test must be taken within one week of the original test.
Quizzes will be given throughout each unit. Quizzes cannot be retaken.
Unit notes and videos are posted on Google Classroom.
An agenda and all assignments will be posted on Google Classroom each week.
Students will utilize IXL as an extra resource throughout the entire year.
I am available for tutoring each day before and after school. Please make arrangements if you want additional help.
