Steps to Scheduling:
REQUIRED! Additional Step for Scheduling for 25/24 School Year:
ALL students must complete the William Mason High School Bus Registration for the 2024-2025 school year. Please indicate if you will be a DAILY bus rider, EMERGENCY USE only bus rider, or if you will not use bussing at all next school year. If you select emergency use only, you will have a place on a school bus when needed. This information will help transportation accurately assign bus routes.
Review the Scheduling Presentations listed above.
Choose courses from the Course Selector Form for 2024-2025 School Year.
We encourage students to consider the following when selecting courses for the upcoming school year:
Balance - It is important to find balance between your academics, extra-curricular activities and other commitments.
Rigor - Students should feel academically challenged each year of high school.
Career Interests - The MHS Program of Studies includes career pathway information and suggested courses.
Enter course selections for 2024-2025 into Home Access Center (HAC).
Check the Scheduling Timeline on the Home Page for dates and times that Home Access Center will be open.
Important! Students must be logged into their student HAC account in order to enter course requests.
Pay close attention to course codes when entering requests.
Receive Student Course Requests Verification form and review with parent/guardian.
Students will receive a printed copy of the courses they select in Home Access Center (HAC) through the MMS LA classes. Students are asked to take that Student Course Requests Verification form home to review with their parent/guardian and then return it to school to be collected by the MHS Counselors.
REMINDER: List FIVE alternate course selections on the back of your Student Course Requests Verification form.
You will not enter alternates into Home Access Center.
If you select a popular world language, please be prepared to provide an alternate world language in the event that there is not an open seat in your initially requested course.
You will turn in your Student Course Requests Verification form (with a parent signature) to your MHS counselor during your verification meeting.
5. Verification Meetings will be held with MHS counselors from February 6th - February 9th.
Please remember to bring your Student Course Requests Verification form! MHS Counselors use this information to create full schedules for students over the summer.
