You will be using this website to complete the LEARN PHASE notes about the seeds of the American Revolution (linked to the left). We call these events "seeds" because they are the little things that eventually grow into a revolution!

Each student will pick a role card of AN ACTUAL COLONIST to represent and consider as you LEARN about these events. Your colonist may be a PATRIOT, LOYALIST, or be someone remaining NEUTRAL.

You will sit with one other student who selects the same historical figure. Your group may work at your own pace (there will be deadlines for each phase) through the topics, but each person should work cooperatively...do not get ahead of your group. You should collaborate on your notes (NOT COPY) and find time to discuss what you learn in each phase. There will be portions of our activities where you will NEED to work together.

You can use sketch notes, doodle notes, charts, whatever you want to record your learning about that event. MAKE SURE YOU GO BEYOND just a "DEFINITION" that will NOT be helpful and you will get confused! Consider WHY the event happened and how DIFFERENT groups responded. WHAT CONSEQUENCES of that event happened later?
