4 Facts:

• Romans used arches, which was originally borrowed from the Etruscans.

• Using concrete, bricks, and the concept of the arch, Rome was able to provide many of its citizens with water. 

• The Ancient Romans built lots of monuments.  Many of these are still standing today.

• The best examples of Ancient Roman architecture is a building called the Pantheon.

Why is this contribution important? 

Many of these buildings are still around today. There are many buildings today that are made with concrete and use arches in the design.
