Torch Staff

Keely Brown

Keely Brown is currently a junior at MASH. This is her first year as being a part of The Torch! She is also a part of the National Honor Society. Keely has been competing for the Varsity Track and Field team for the past three years. In her free time, you can catch her traveling, pole vaulting, volunteering, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Alevia Durham

Alevia Durham is currently a sophomore at MASH, taking part in her first year of The Torch. Aside from working for the newspaper, Alevia participates in the Model UN club, competitive dance at Studio 91, and archery. In her time away from sports and school, Alevia enjoys reading and taking trips to Hershey Park with her best friends. There’s no better rollercoaster than the Great Bear, no arguments allowed! 

Emma Faro

Emma Faro is a freshman at MASH, and this is her first year writing for The Torch. She enjoys running for the school cross country and track teams. She also loves to read in her free time and spend time with her family and friends. 

Chelsea Guan

Chelsea Guan is currently a sophomore at MASH; this is her second year writing for The Torch. Outside of writing for the school newspaper, she enjoys creative writing, reading thriller novels, going to new places, and spending time with her family.

Evelyn Hambright

Evelyn Hambright is currently a junior at MASH, and this is her third year writing for The Torch. In addition to writing for The Torch, Evelyn is a part of student council, an editor for the school yearbook, a PALS @ MASH buddy, and is a member of Overcome Together. In her free time, Evelyn likes photography, going to concerts, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Conner "Kat" Hausauer

Conner Hausauer, otherwise known as Kat, is currently a freshman at MASH, and this is his first year writing for The Torch. Conner has had previous experience working on a newspaper with the Cru News in 7th Grade, and is pretty good at writing, both creatively and informatively. Outside of the newspaper, Conner has very little else he has to do, giving him a lot of time to work on the newspaper. His free time is spent playing video games, writing, drawing, or hanging out with friends. He is an only child, but has his own projects. He is good at expressing his opinions about topics he’s passionate about. His style of writing is more informal, but meant to be simple and easy to understand.

Olivia Hopkins

Olivia Hopkins is currently a junior at MASH, and this is her first year writing for The Torch. In addition to this activity, Olivia is a part of the Wildcat Theater Club, and has participated in the Spring musicals. Outside of school, she enjoys playing music, singing, writing, and spending time with her friends and family!

Macy Kiker

Macy is a current junior at MASH and is involved in an array of sports and clubs. She is a part of Student Council, National Honor Society, and Varsity Tennis.  She enjoys traveling, volunteering, and going to watch other sports events at school. 

Bekka Kreitman

Bekka Kreitman is currently a junior at MASH; this is her second year writing for The Torch. She is involved in many school activities, including Fiber Arts Club, Project LIT (president), as well as The Torch. She is also currently in the process of earning her Girl Scout Gold Award. In the future, she hopes to become an elementary school teacher so she can help the next generation of writers prosper.

Riley Lepley

Riley Lepley is currently a junior at MASH, and this is her first year writing for The Torch. She’s also involved in the school community as President of the Student Advocates for Speech, a Model UN leader, and a Keep Pennslyvania Beautiful Ambassador, as well as a member of NHS and Student Council Cabinet. In the fall season she runs cross country, and competes on the track team in the spring. In her free time Riley enjoys writing, reading, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.


Althea McEnteer

Althea McEnteer is currently a sophomore at MASH. She just moved here from Stuttgart, Germany. This is her first year writing for The Torch, but she is very excited about it. Althea is also a part of the MASH Swim Team. In her free time, she likes to walk her Golden Retriever, ski, bike, swim, and travel. Her favorite thing to talk about is skiing. 

Alana McGuffin

Alana McGuffin is a freshman. She likes to go on trips, spend time with her family, friends, and pets. She also enjoys taking walks, swimming, and drawing. 

Matthew Mongold

Matthew Mongold is a sophomore at MASH, and this is his first year writing for The Torch. Matthew is also a part of extracurriculars including Marching Band, Tennis, and Jazz Band. Whenever he has free time, he's either building combat robots and competing with them throughout the east coast, playing guitar with his band, or listening to music.

Kyle Moreno

Kyle Moreno is a freshman at MASH; this is the first time he has written for The Torch. Kyle’s other school-related activities include being part of the Student Council and running with the Cross Country Team. He is caring, quick to learn, curious about the world around him; this curiosity drove him towards the STEM area, specifically in engineering and science. Kyle is an enormous space enthusiast from visiting the Kennedy Space Center with his family at a young age. You can find him reading, building model rockets, and learning chess.

Regan Naugle

Regan Naugle is currently a sophomore here at MASH. This is her first year writing for The Torch. She is also a member of the softball team as well as a part of Model UN. In her free time, Regan enjoys spending quality time with her friends and going to Penn State football games. She also plays for two travel softball teams- one locally and one nationally.

Charley Riley

Charley Riley is a sophomore at MASH, and has written for The Torch in the past during his freshman year. In his free time, Charley enjoys playing games, reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
