Want to help with mock interviews? This event is typically held in April. Our entire junior class participates in mock interviews as part of their Career Development course experience. We're looking for professional adults within our Mechanicsburg community that are willing to volunteer their time to interview students. All questions and materials are provided. You can volunteer as little as an hour of your time.
Want to host a job shadow?
Job shadows are the primary way students complete their Graduation Project. Before attending, students research the career field, so they arrive prepared with questions and background knowledge. A shadow usually lasts from half a school day to a full day, though timing may vary depending on the workplace, events, or student needs. During the experience, professionals share insights on the pros and cons of the field, required training and education, and what a typical day looks like. Most shadows are one-on-one, but some workplaces may involve multiple professionals to showcase different roles.
Want to host an Internship?
Internships are semester-long placements that give seniors hands-on experience in a career field aligned with their interests and goals. To earn credit, students must work an average of 6–7 hours per week, complete related assignments, and receive passing evaluations from their mentors. If your workplace could benefit from an intern and you’re willing to guide a motivated student in your profession, we’d love to partner with you.
