How do we know that something is alive? This unit will focus on developing an understanding of the characteristics that are shared by all living things, as well as providing opportunities for students to experience the practices of doing science. Primary focuses for students will be:
Identify and apply the six primary characteristics of living things to construct an explanation as to whether something is alive.
Science Practices: Asking Questions and Defining Problems; Carrying Out Investigations; Constructing Explanations
