How do I login to my Chromebook?

Press the power button to turn on the Chromebook

Press the power button once and wait for the Chromebook to turn on
The sign-in screen should read "This device is managed by masd.info and requires you to sign in every time.
Click Next in the bottom right hand corner.

Sign in using your badge

All students in grades K-3 are assigned a badge that has a unique QR code.
Students will choose "Sign in with Quickcard" and hold this QR code up to the camera on the Chromebook and wait until a colorful circle appears on the screen.
Once this happens students are automatically logged in and can access their content.
Please note that students can access their MASD account on ANY device that has a camera. Students will go to masd.info; select Meteor Launchpad; hold up their QR code; and will be signed in.

Sign in using your username/password

Students without badges can log-in by choosing "Sign In" and inputting their username and password. (only available for grades 4-12 - students do not type @masd.info after their username to log in)

I'm logged in - now what?

Once the student is logged in the Chromebook will automatically open the Classlink Launchpad. Students can access everything they need for their classes from this Launchpad:

Google Classroom - this is where assignments and zoom links for remote instruction
Online Textbooks - Bid Ideas Math; Wonders; etc
i-Ready
Apps - Xtra Math, Accelerated Reader, IXL, etc

What if I accidentally close the Classlink LaunchPad window?

Students can get back into the Classlink LaunchPad by navigating to the masd.info webpage and clicking on the Metero LaunchPad icon on the right hand side of the page. There is a maroon and white "M" icon on the bottom of your Chromebook screen that will take you directly to the masd.info webpage when you click on it.

Where can I find the camera? Where do my pictures go after I take them?

1) Click on the launcher in the lower left hand corner.

2) Click on the arrow-head pointing up. This will open the apps on the Chromebook

3) Click on the Camera icon

4) Click on the grey circle to take a picture

5) Go back to the app launcher (steps 1-2 above) and click on Files.

6) Click on images. All of the pictures you take with the Chromebook will be here.
