The main educational technology platforms and applications available to Marywood faculty include:
Brightspace: A web-based learning management system (LMS) that allows you to share information and learning materials with your students and set up graded activities for them to complete.
Google Workspace: A suite of applications that includes Gmail (your university email account) and Google Drive (for file storage), as well as useful apps like Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more.
Zoom: The primary web conferencing platform licensed by Marywood University. (Zoom is integrated with Brightspace.)
In addition, you also have access to:
Anthology: A platform for administering course evaluations for when they are nearing completion. (Contact the Registrar's Office you have any questions or run into issues.)
MarywoodYou: The university's self-service portal where you can access course enrollment information and submit textbook orders for courses you'll be teaching.
Microsoft Office: Marywood provides a Microsoft Office license to all faculty.
Qualtrics: A survey tool used to collect data for research purposes.
TurnItIn: A web-based plagiarism checker tool that's integrated into Brightspace that compares students' work with content on the web, published materials, and other students' work.
The ETS team has created a Brightspace training course for all Marywood faculty: Brightspace Basics for Instructors.
Enroll in this course to learn how to use the Brightspace learning management system and access templates and other resources. (Note that you'll need to log into Marywood's Brightspace instance to access this course.)
