Students will work in groups to create graphic organizers that will represent the framework of information needed to write a persuasive essay to companies who make glass and colored overlays, reading focus cards, smart pens.
Formative Assessment: Students will submit their organizers to the teacher at the end of class through CANVAS.
Time: 20 minutes
Students who complete their organizers early can work on their homework: writing a persuasive essay to a company that makes these products asking that they donate materials to the school in the movie Like Stars on Earth.
Students who need additional support will meet with the teacher individually to review their lists during the next class session.
