The Library of Maryhill College, as guided by Catholic teaching is committed to provide resources and services to support the mission-vision of the school. To fulfill this mission, the Library would:
Provide access to relevant, quality and value added collections of recorded information and knowledge, regardless of format necessary for its curriculum offered.
Provide an environment conducive for reading, learning to encourage interest in research, that will engage independent learning and inquiry based.
Maintain well trained-staff, knowledgeable and service oriented to guide the users toward lifelong learning.
The Library of Maryhill College envisions to be a media center/virtual library where students and teachers can inquire, view, collaborate and create a focused learning environment. A dynamic intellectual social space where students and teachers gather ideas, exchange point of views and learn together and also provide equal opportunity access to appropriate resources and services through the use of information technology for all members of the school and other library users.
provide books, on-line resources and other print and non-print materials in line with the demands of the curriculum and the needs of students and teachers and to organize these materials for effective use
guide library clientele in their choice of books and on-line resources for learning desired for both personal and curriculum purposes
develop the students’ skills and resourcefulness in their use of library resources to successfully employ information fluency, technology and critical thinking
systematically evaluate the needs of the users to ascertain the best possible physical facilities, arrangement of materials, services and staff for maximum effectiveness in library operations
work cooperatively and constructively with instructional and administrative staff of the school, in order to meet the growing needs of library users
