Our current math program breaks down grade level concepts into their foundational skills and provides students with multiple strategies for solving problems. We like to say we are giving students a number of tools for their math "toolbelt," and they get to choose the one that works best for them!
Utilizing each unit, as well as the monthly Number Corner skills, many fourth grade concepts are spiraled throughout the year, so students will see a skill many times before they are expected to master it.
IXL is available to each student this year, and it works directly with our math program. Students may have "starred" or "suggested" skills based on skills we are working on in class. Additonally, students can practice skills that are specific to them on their Recommendation Wall. One awesome thing about IXL is it can be adaptive to any students' current level. So if a student is stuck on a skill, they can select the help button to go back to a skill that is a building block for grade level skills.
Check out how IXL skills align to each Bridges Math Unit here!

Student Workbooks
This is a digital copy of the Student book. We use this for independent practice after whole group lessons.
This is a digital copy of the Number Corner book. This is part of our math program that is used to supplement and spiral skills learned throughout the year.
This is a digital copy of the Home Connections book, which is used for homework assignments. Students should ask questions on problems they need support with - if it is too challenging at home, skip for now and ask for help when reviewing with your teacher.
We get it. Math can be a tricky subject. But it's okay to not know something YET. It's okay to ask questions, to make mistakes, to talk it out! We encourage you to use these guiding questions or statements at home when your child needs extra assistance on math homework.
