How do they catch their prey?

Each species of Pitcher plant has a different way to attract pray some are brightly coloured and some give off a sweet aroma. The fly or insect will get attracted to the smell or colours and land on the edge. The inside walls of a pitcher plant are very slippery making it so the fly or insect falls in and can't get out inside the pitcher plant there is a liquid which kills and breaks down the fly or insect.
