My name is Meagan Weaver and I grew up in Marshall County. I have had the privilege to work with Marshall County School System for 18 years. I received my undergraduate degree from Jacksonville State University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. My master's degree is in Community Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family therapy from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. My Educational Specialist degree is in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. I am working on my PhD in developmental psychology now.
I have had the privilege of working with all age groups from three to 19 years of age in the school system. Your children are the most important thing to me! Being their MHSC, I will ensure that their academic journey is filled with mentors, role models, and positive experiences. While not all students enjoy the idea of school with the drama and anxiety that comes with learning how to deal with other people, sharing, and communication skills; My first priority is to make sure they are not alone. There are services in place to help your student be successful in the Marshall County School System, just reach out to us if there is a need and you feel your son or daughter struggling.
