As a team, we've come to realize how challenging it can be for FTC teams to secure adequate funding. Many teams struggle to cover essential costs like registration fees, parts, tools, and travel. To help, we've compiled a list of national FTC grants you can apply for!
🌐 National FTC Grants
Description: Aimed at supporting FIRST teams, especially those in underserved communities or areas near BAE facilities. Provides funding to cover registration fees or materials.
Eligibility: Open to all FIRST teams, with preference sometimes given to rookie teams or those demonstrating financial need. FTC application deadlines are typically in early July.
Description: A recurring, monthly grant opportunity offered by PITSCO Education to help FTC and other FIRST teams offset costs related to parts, kits, or registration.
Eligibility: Open to all FTC teams. Because it's monthly, teams can apply multiple times throughout the season.
Description: Offered by John Deere to promote STEM education, especially in regions where the company has a strong presence.
Eligibility: Priority is given to teams located in John Deere communities (near company facilities), and often to teams with mentoring partnerships or strong outreach efforts.
Description: Provided by PTC (maker of Onshape), this grant supports teams that actively use Onshape CAD software for robot design. It typically includes both funding and Onshape resources.
Eligibility: Teams must demonstrate their use of Onshape in their engineering design process or outreach. New and returning teams are eligible.
